Custom Skills
Need a Skill that
doesn't exist yet?
Commission a Skill from us, or work with us to build your own with our SDK. Either way, it runs on the same self-hosted platform — deployed in days, running entirely on your site.
The Opportunity
Every operation has
its own logic.
Water treatment has CIP sequencing. Irrigation has soil-tension-driven valve control. Your operation has its own process, its own failure modes, its own definition of “normal.”
Core — running on the Base Station — gives you connectivity, telemetry, and control outputs. A Skill turns that into dashboards, alerting, and workflows built around your process.
The platform handles device connectivity, the wireless network, and on-site data storage. The Skill handles your problem.
How It Works
Two ways to get a Skill built.
Commission a Skill from us
Fixed-scope engagement. We design and build the Skill to your requirements, and it ships running on your Base Station alongside Core.
Operators who know what they need monitored and controlled, and want it built and maintained without hiring a development team.
The Skill is proprietary to Modulink. You receive a license for your deployment(s).
Work with us to build your own, with our SDK
The Skill SDK is a partner program, not a self-serve download. We work directly alongside your team as you build.
Software teams and integrators who want to own their Skill’s logic end to end, running on Modulink hardware and Core.
We’ll partner deeply with our first SDK adopters — this is how the SDK matures. Not currently a public download.
What A Skill Runs On
The platform underneath.
Open egress
MQTT, REST API, and Prometheus metrics out of Core — a Skill reads and writes through standard interfaces, not a proprietary lock-in layer.
On-site, always
Dashboards, alerting, historian, user accounts (RBAC), and audit log all run on the Base Station on your site. No cloud dependency, no phone-home.
Actuation
Terminal Indi's H-bridge output and Terminal Agri's latching-valve drive are both available as Skill-controlled outputs.
Edge compute, at the sensor.
Terminal Indi can run containerized Skill workloads on-device — edge compute at the sensor, not just at the Base Station. This is a real, tested capability. No Skill uses it in production today.
We're recruiting design partners for the first edge-compute Skills. If you have a workload that needs to run at the Terminal instead of the Base Station, we want to hear the requirements.
Tell us what you need to monitor.
Request a DemoLet's talk about your Skill.
Whether you want us to build it or want to build it yourself with our SDK — the first step is a conversation.
